Who We Are
Angola X is an institutional-grade capital markets intelligence platform focused exclusively on Angola. We produce research, data, analytics, and educational content for investors, policymakers, and institutions engaged with Africa’s sixth-largest economy (~$115 billion GDP). Our coverage spans equities, fixed income, foreign exchange (USD/AOA ~914.60), macroeconomics, oil markets (Brent ~$74.50, Angola ~1.03 mbpd), and the regulatory framework overseen by the Comissao do Mercado de Capitais (CMC).
Areas We Hire
Research Analysts. Equity research, fixed-income strategy, macroeconomic analysis, and oil market coverage. Research analysts produce the intelligence briefs, company profiles, and thematic reports that form the core of the Angola X platform. Fluency in Portuguese is strongly preferred; familiarity with Angolan institutions – BNA, CMC, BODIVA, CEVAMA (Central de Valores Mobiliarios de Angola), Sonangol (Sociedade Nacional de Combustiveis de Angola) – is a significant advantage.
Data Engineers. Building and maintaining the data pipelines that power Angola X’s API and platform dashboards. This includes ingesting data from BNA auctions, BODIVA trading systems, INE statistical releases, and international sources; normalizing heterogeneous data formats; and delivering clean, validated datasets through RESTful endpoints.
Product and Design. User experience, interface design, and product management for the Angola X web platform and mobile application. The challenge is presenting complex financial data – yield curves, price charts, economic indicators – in formats accessible to both institutional professionals and retail investors.
Editorial and Content. Financial writing, translation (English-Portuguese), and educational curriculum development. Angola X publishes in English with select Portuguese content and maintains a three-level investor education academy (Academia Angola X).
Business Development. Partnership management, institutional sales, and diaspora community engagement. Business development professionals cultivate relationships with data providers, research partners, distribution platforms, and the Angolan diaspora investor community across Portugal, Brazil, South Africa, the UK, and the US.

Angola X prioritizes analytical rigour, intellectual honesty, and deep domain expertise in Angolan and Lusophone African markets. We operate with a small, high-calibre team where each contributor has direct impact on the platform’s output. We do not value credentials over capability.
